The award-winning Edwardian Ball transforms the historic Regency Ballroom into a garden of delights, Friday and Saturday January 22nd and 23rd, 2010. Join a magical outdoors-indoor symphony of music, theatre, dance, art, storytelling, circus arts, fashion, technology, and, of course, the art & stories of Edward Gorey. The festivities feature a dizzying assortment of artists and performers, where high-flying trapezes and steam-powered machines paint an elegant backdrop for costumed ballgoers reveling through the night. Here, the old world meets the world-to-be with an unforgettable tip of the top hat, cinch of the corset, and a splash of absinthe poured over a silver spoon.

NEW IN 2010: The Edwardian Vendor Bazaar & Croquet Garden will be open Saturday Jan 23rd from Noon-7pm (in addition to both nighttime events) for proper daytime shopping & leisure. Click here for more information on vending.

Celebrate turn of the century splendor with a stunning live stage show amidst four exhibition halls including the Hall of Fine Arts, Wonders of the Natural World, Exposition of Technology, and new this year, The Edwardian Bazaar & Croquet Gardens.

Featuring Vagabond Opera, Agent Ribbons, Kinetic Steam Works, Dark Garden with Fou Fou HA!, City Circus, Vima Dance Expo, Shovelman, Delachaux, Smoove, Rachel Brice of The Indigo, and Emcee Kingfish of the Hubba Hubba Revue.

CELEBRATING THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY of The Ball that started it all! Join us for an unparalleled night of elegance, dancing, music, theatre, storytelling, circus arts, burlesque, and late-night revelry.

Featuring Gorey tales brought to life on stage by co-hosts Rosin Coven and Vau de Vire Society, plus “Belle of the Ball” Jill Tracy, Miz Margo, Vima Vice Squad, Fou Fou HA!, Delachaux, Kitten On The Keys, ballroom dancing, turn of the century martial arts demonstrations, the infamous Edwardian portrait studio and surprise guests. Plus a special 10th Anniversary homage to Edward Gorey and Edwardian celebrations gone by!
