Rosin Coven, Edwardian Ball Founders & House Band

Rosin Coven, your Edwardian Ball Hosts, dreamt up this spectacle long ago in a dust-covered martini bar in the middle of a bleak desert. They proudly continue the tradition of bringing a Gorey story to life each year in partnership with Vau de Vire Society. Eight musicians blend violin, two cellos, bass, guitar, harp, vibraphone, trombone, drums & lush vocal harmonies in a strangely beautiful mix of classical, jazz, chamber, tango, klezmer, sultry lounge, theatrical cabaret, and cinematic dreams.

Most notable collaborators include Cirque du Soleil, San Francisco Symphony, Peaches, the Alkaline Trio, The Dresden Dolls, Fishbone, Rosin Coven, Crystal Method and many other widely respected artists.

Eric McFadden & His Edwardian Orchestra

On a career that spans the better put of the last two decades, Eric McFadden has successfully navigated the ongoing clash between the sounds and voices inside his head to create a unique musical persona... (Aaron Kayce, Jam Base)

If I we're asked who's the artist of the year around there parts...I would have to say Eric McFadden. His sextet's shadowy carny-rock and gloomy americana, beautifully showcase's McFadden's flamenco fueled guitar work, husky baritone and gleefully twisted lyrics. (Sam Hurwitt, Pacific sun)

Since becoming George Clinton's guitar player, Eric McFadden has turned into one of San Francicso's phantom treasures, a rarely glimpsed dark angel... (Silke Tudor, San Francisco Weekly)

Rube Waddell

They mix together cast-off parts, twisted scraps, and rusty hinges of Blues, Gospel, Country, American and Irish Folk, Punk,Rock, comic Vaudeville, German theater, Mexican Banda, Mid-Eastern and Asian ditties into a raw junkyard stew stirred by their varied array of traditional and homemade instruments. Reviewers have compared Rube Waddell at times to Captain Beefheart, the Fugs, Ween, Doo-Rag, Tom Waits, Jon Spencer and other lo-fi giants.

Vermillion Lies

Vermillion Lies was born in the bygone era of 2004 after sisters Kim and Zoe Boekbinder were reunited after many years. Zoe traveled north from the wild jungle of central america to teach her sister Kim guitar. After putting themselves on stage with an amplified typewriter and an assortment of other musical objects the sisters were off and running into the brick wall of life as musicians. Their eclectic music ranges from lyrical folk melodies to raucous circus ballads with toy piano and accordion. The sisters have earned a reputation for an amazing live performance and beautiful arrangements. They craft their songs with guitars, pianos, typewriters, toy pianos, washboards, pots and pans, broken pipes, old steamer trunks and lobsters.

DJ Delachaux

'San Francisco's own Cocktail Break Shaker' DJ Delachaux originally waxed his unique style of electronic music from the early days of San Francisco's seminal neo-burlesque movement. As a harbinger of vintage sounds Delachaux began warming up audiences for local cabarets like SF's Famous Burlesque Revue with eclectic cocktail sets that swirled everything from Weimar Berlin and brassy beatnik to torch-lit tiki and retro-atomic go-go. Mixing festive cine-sexy melodies with infectiously slick rhythms Delachaux became the after-party starter for San Francisco's neo-burlesque community and can currently be found dropping his saucy retro-sonic barrage at such monthly parties as 'Splashadelic' and 'Kinky Salon'.

Paxton Gate

Paxton Gate was founded in December of 1992 by two landscape designers whose inspiration came from a fascination with the natural world. Soon after its inception, a predilection for the more bizarre side of nature became apparent, and oddities such as the insects and taxidermy began to creep onto the scene. These days the amazing collection within the store adheres to a common aesthetic and style which Paxton Gate describes as "treasures and oddities inspired by the garden and the natural sciences".

kSea flux

No one's sure where this being came from, not even him. Appearing out of nowhere and out of his own need, he first cut his true performance teeth with The Dresden Dolls, and shortly after was the Ringmaster of the Dresden Dolls Brigade.

He has performed on the streets of many cities across this twisted country, been called a Dragon, an Angel, a Duke, a delinquent by one particular cop on Fisherman's Wharf - and made a man in New Orleans cry shortly after Katrina, simply by standing still. All in all, he is nothing less than the purest of Dreamers.

He continues to dream, to chase them down with a vengeance, and in his own strange way, he brings his dreams to you. Expect something different and delightful every time you see him perform, and though his dreams are dark, there is a deliciously twisted humor, a strange light - that always shines through.

This person is kSea flux, and he is here to remind you of magick.
