Heavens, how dashing! cried the people in the dinghy,

and Echo answered: Count the spoons!
On the shore a bat, or possibly an umbrella,

Each year, The Edwardian Ball presents a featured Gorey tale and brings it to life on stage with original scoring, choreography, and multi-media performance. Our 2023 featured story is Gorey's tableaux classic, "The Object Lesson" - a mysterious tale of artificial limbs, Throbblefoot Spectres, moustaches, dinghys, tea-urns and more.
